1. TYPEFACE BOOKLET
In this project I was playing with how the composition would change with large letterforms guiding the viewer through the booklet.
2. DESIGN HERO BOOK
This is a book designed in honor of Aaron Douglas who was known as "the father of African art." His work encompassed bright colors and stark silhouettes.Â
I tried to create a layout inspired by some of his artworks motifs. Each spread either has a light source or is more abstract like his paintings. The colors were chosen to reflect
light and nature.

3. EDITORIAL LAYOUT
The Venture is an article about the survival story of Julia Hubbard and Kayla Goedinghaus escaping sex trafficking. This was admittedly difficult to design. I had to be careful to make a design that does not distract from the story but is still visually interesting.Â
I encourage anyone to read this article because the message is so important. Here is the article link.

4. SOCIAL ADVOCACY POSTERS
For these posters I was inspired by my own experience going to doctors as a woman, that it caused me to look more into the topic. It was upsetting to read how common it was for women to go undiagnosed for so long. Especially women afflicted with endometriosis.
One of these posters is painted and the other is a typographic portrait. I thought lobotomies would be the perfect imagery for this topic because women were the majority of the victims of this procedure. It is the first thing I think of when it comes
to medical misogyny.
