1. VISUAL NOVEL CONCEPT
Here are 12 character design illustrations that show a broad set of characters each with a theme color. This project took three months to complete. I designed these characters to represent a part of alternative culture: Nu-Metal, Goth, Scene, and Classic Rock. One day I would love to make a visual novel game so this project was so fun to work on.
2. DUCHESS HYACINTH COMIC
3. ELISE COMIC
4. REPORTAGE

This comic is thirteen pages long and is a short story about a girl named Mallory who is working as a maid for the Duchess Hyacinth. Duchess Hyacinth is rumored to be beautiful and graceful. When Mallory meets her she meets someone else entirely. I thought this comic up because I have always wanted to create horror narratives. I also wanted this comic to have a hand-drawn feel as opposed to digital.
Elise is twelve pages long and follows a traumatized general who is the namesake of the story who is discussing their next move with their captain. The setting is a fantasy with the existence of magic and no modern technology. This was my first comic and I used Procreate and Illustrator.
I went to a plus-sized thrift store in Kent, Ohio and I loved it so much I wanted to make it the subject of my reportage. They have a cute little store dog named Mei Mei. I highly recommend stopping by!
